The Story of Sarah Joy

As the saying goes “Time flies when you’re having fun.” It seems like just yesterday since our last blog entry. But the truth is there have been so many wonderful things going on that more than a year has passed already and I am now finally finding enough time to bring you a much needed update. It is a good thing that there is Facebook for those of you who wanted to see sooner what we have been up to.

Since our wonderful visit with Mike, Amy and Meiying Howard in June 2011, we also had visits from VoVó and VoVô (Leila’s parents from Brazil) in August, Aunt Connie, Cheryl and Ellen (The Brown Family - Jim’s Mom’s brother’s family) in September, Sarah’s sister, Stephanie, for Christmas and Miho, Genzo and Asami (Leila’s friends from Japan) in March 2012.

We also did some visiting of our own. Last September, we went to Texas to see Sarah’s brother, Michael, and his family (Rosel, Ean, Zoe and Kent) and Sarah’s sister, Theresa, and Emma (her dog). We also went to the North Carolina State Fair last October and the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher (Near Wilmington, NC) this past August.

And finally, we celebrated many special occasions in the past year including Sarah’s Forever Family (Gotcha) Day on October 6th, her 4th Birthday and Christmas in December, Mommy’s Birthday in March (which also happens to be St. Patrick’s Day) and Easter in April.
